Working in environments that support and educate children and young people can be very rewarding and exciting. They also demand high levels of skill, capability, and responsibility. The build-up of daily demands can cause teachers, TAs and support staff to feel pressurised, overwhelmed and unable to manage the demands of their roles. Rising stress levels can negatively impact their ability to cope with competing priorities and ultimately their emotional and mental health. This has an adverse effect not only on their work performance but also on the wellbeing of the children and young people they are working with.
