FULL INTRODUCTION

Karen grew up in a village outside Scarborough, on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast – she moved away for 20 years but bounced back to bring up her young children.

Karen was a research scientist before training to be a secondary science teacher. She soon became a pastoral head, supporting a large year group in an inner-city school. After teaching in Dubai for a couple of years Karen moved back to the UK. Her passion for writing led her to a career as a content and copywriter.

PASSIONS AND INTERESTS

Karen is passionate about preventing more serious mental health issues by protecting children’s mental health, improving wellbeing and empowering organisations to support the mental health of all staff and students.

Karen loves to spend time with family and friends, walks in the countryside, horse riding and body boarding with her kids. Karen loves to read, as well as write, and is working on her first novel.
