A complete toolkit enabling you to deliver our Wellbeing Ambassadors Workshop to train young people to be wellbeing leaders amongst their peers.

This toolkit has been developed from our proven peer support programmes, created with CAMHS, schools and local authorities nationally. The materials and support provided equip you to deliver an effective training session for young people, training them to be Wellbeing Ambassadors within their school or setting.

In the workshop, Ambassadors will learn a range of approaches and strategies they can use to develop and lead peer support projects to reduce stigma, improve access to support, develop positive coping and reduce stress.

Our Wellbeing Ambassadors Workshop supports the prevention of mental health problems by developing wellbeing within the setting or school. In the workshop, Ambassadors will learn a range of approaches and strategies they can use to develop and lead peer support projects to reduce stigma, improve access to support, develop positive coping and reduce stress.

During the workshop your young people will:

• Gain insight into the prevalence of mental health problems amongst young people and how developing peer support can help reduce these problems
• Discover practical ways to effectively manage stress in themselves and others.
• Explore coping strategies and discover ways to cultivate positive coping for peers.
• Develop ways to reduce mental health stigma in their setting.
• Develop strategies to improve awareness and access to the support available in their setting for mental health and wellbeing.
• Explore boundaries and responsibilities including safeguarding, ensuring the Wellbeing Ambassadors are aware of what they can do to effectively support the wellbeing of their peers and maintain their own levels of wellbeing.

Additional workbooks can be purchased for groups larger than 16 young people.
