Having worked for many years within education as a teacher and Senior Leader, Linda became aware of the high levels of stress and anxiety experienced by parents, staff and pupils whilst working in some challenging areas around Essex and London. During this time, she worked on inclusion management, mentoring and coaching, and her experiences led her to further her knowledge of coaching psychology as well as gain a counselling qualification.
As well as her work in education (training, coaching and mentoring), Linda works with 12 to 18 year-olds who are experiencing issues which hold them back from being their 'best selves'. She also has a private practice in which she counsels and coaches adults who have a variety of issues. Linda focuses on empowerment, well-being and how to manage change and stressful situations. She is passionate about helping people to think positively about behaviour change as well as helping them work through and acknowledge past/present issues where necessary. She believes that everyone has the key to moving forward within themselves and that her job is to facilitate them in finding this.
In her work, Linda uses a variety of different techniques and approaches, including positive psychology, coaching psychology, mindfulness, body awareness and ‘self-compassion’ to facilitate and promote wellness and a holistic way approach to life.
Linda is also an accredited ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) trainer in Coaching & Mentoring. During her career, she has worked with various charities, during which she has coached senior and middle leadership towards their professional qualifications in leadership.
